Jim Jenkins

When Jim was 11 and shooting 8 mm film on an old Yashica he had found, his mother made him promise that he would never move to L.A. to direct movies. Jim kept his promise as best as he could: he moved to New York to direct commercials. He does, however, shoot in L.A. quite often so please do not forward this bio to his mom.

Jim has a reputation of being not only one of the industry’s premier comedy directors, but also one of its best visual storytellers. He has a particular knack for creating work that gets remembered: for example, he shot Martin Scorsese again recently for the second time, and Scorsese told him that more people on the street yell out lines to him from his American Express commercial than they do from Scorsese’s own movies. Jim found this both funny and sad at the same time, believing that Goodfellas should probably have more cultural impact that a 30-second Amex spot.

In addition to Amex, Jim has filmed for such clients as Coke, BMW, FedEx, Mini Cooper, Sony and dozens more. He has been a Director’s Guild (DGA) nominee for Outstanding Commercial Director, and his work has won multiple D&AD pencils and Cannes Lions. Both Campaign and Creativity magazines have named him one of the industry’s top directors.

Along with his EP Ralph Laucella, Jim launched his own production company, O Positive, last year. (In New York, not L.A., in case his mom asks.)

Sharon Berkal

Sharon Berkal loves to eat Spaghetti Bolognese. She is into directing since she cried out her eyes while watching Sergio Leones ‚Once Upon A Time In America’ at the age of 11. Fascinated by shooting movies, cause their might trouble and chaos around, but perfection on the screen. Thinks that staging should be subtle so there’s enough room for the viewers fantasy. Aesthetics and humour affect her fashion-studies in London aswell as her ongoing obession for beauty and style. In Berlin, she gains some of her skills at the musicvideoproduction DoRo. Her work shows a good feeling for a strong and intense picture language, love for the detail and creativity.

FEO & ZÜLI

Feo and Zueli are working as a team. Experiences of many years from the feature film range both in direction and in play and film script, as well as a higher education in psychology and communication sciences with final graduation. Also experience of several years within different ranges from advertisement and PR and a director study at the academy of art for media in Cologne, form the basis for this team of woman and man.

Not single work, but doubling of the power be to the fore. The request of Feo and Zueli is to tell coherent stories, which affect humans by truthfulness of representation and attractive visual conversion. There are so many kinds to affect, as there are possibilities to make films. Substantially is only to strike the bridge to person opposite.

In 2006 Züli Aladag won the Award for the best Geraman Film at the Golden Camera Awards with his drama 'RAGE'.
